Tigers take league championship trophy

ENTIAT - The Entiat Tigers defeated the Waterville Shockers on Friday night at Entiat in a battle for the NCW 1B Football League Championship.  Both teams came into the game boasting undefeated records in League play.  Waterville came out strong scoring on the first play from scrimmage, and jumped out to a 14-0 lead behind a punishing ground game by the middle of the first quarter.  Entiat managed to weather the storm, putting together three long scoring drives of their own to cut the Waterville lead to 28-24 by halftime.  
Entiat dominated the third quarter, getting a number of key stops on defense, while continuing to put points on the board on offense.  The game finally came down to a final Waterville drive with 1:30 left in the game.  Entiat made a game-winning stop on fourth and eighth, on a run by star Waterville RB Abe Diaz, to clinch the victory and League Title for the Tigers.   
Entiat was led on offense by Noah Fogelstrom who contributed 111 all-purpose yards and two TD's.  Landon Crutcher completed 19 of 25 passes for 193 yards and two TD's, while rushing for another 53 yards.  Pedro Arias churned out tough yards on the ground for the Tigers contributing 60 of the Tiger’s 168 rushing yards on the night and two TD's of his own.  
The win is the fifth straight for the Tigers, improving their season record to 5-3.  They move on to a League Playoff/Seeding game this Thursday night, Oct. 27, at Entiat.

Tigers defeat Eagles 76-14

SOAP LAKE - The Entiat Tigers traveled to Soap Lake on Friday, Oct. 14 to take on the Eagles.  Entiat scored in all three phases of the game (Offense, Defense, and Special Teams), and defeated Soap Lake 76-14 in the NCW 1B League contest.  The Tigers forced five Eagle turnovers, this included four Interceptions.  Entiat was able to pressure Soap Lake’s QB all night, also recording a season high seven QB sacks.
The Tigers were led by Sophomore Noah Fogelstrom, who scored on a scintillating 53 yard run off of an option pitch by QB Landon Crutcher, a 68 yard Interception return for a TD, and a 70 yard Kickoff return TD.  Fogelstrom accumulated 242 all-purpose yards on the night.  Pedro Arias added 149 all-purpose yards, including a 53 yard TD reception on the first drive of the 3rd Quarter.  Braedyn and Isaiah Brumback, along with Monico Valadez-Robinson were able to dominate the line of scrimmage from their Defensive Line positions, combining for 5 sacks, as well as multiple tackles for loss, shutting down the Soap Lake run game completely.  Quarterback Landon Crutcher was 5-9 passing for 101 yards and 2 TD's, rushed for a 44 TD, and returned an Interception 30 yards for a score as well.
