ENTIAT — Art in the Park, formerly known as the Entiat Makers Market, has been bringing creativity and color to the riverfront this summer with a new name and a new location. Organized by the Entiat Arts Collective, the series of events has kept the same grassroots spirit while expanding its reach in the community.
The final event of the season will take place on September 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the north end of Entiat City Park, located at 2221 Entiat Way. Visitors can expect a mix of artisan booths, live music and food, all set against the backdrop of the Columbia River and surrounding mountains.
Organizers say the rebranded Art in the Park continues to highlight the talents of local artists and craftspeople. Shoppers will find one-of-a-kind items such as jewelry, woodworking, ceramics, textiles, and garden décor. The event also includes a student art booth, giving younger creators a chance to showcase their work, and a yarn sale hosted by the Friends of the Entiat Library.
With live music scheduled throughout the day and a food truck on site, the event is designed as much for gathering as for shopping. The Entiat Arts Collective has emphasized that Art in the Park is about building community as much as supporting local businesses. Families are encouraged to enjoy the park setting, linger over lunch, and take in the entertainment as part of the experience.
There is still time for makers to join in. Vendor spaces remain available, and applications can be submitted through the Entiat Arts Collective website at entiatarts.org/art-in-the-park. Organizers note that the market is an accessible opportunity for new or small-scale vendors to test the waters, while returning participants can stay connected with their neighbors.
The last Saturday market will wrap up the summer series until next year, giving attendees a final opportunity in 2025 to browse, buy, and meet the people behind the crafts. With the combination of scenery, music, food, and art, organizers hope the day will showcase why this small town continues to put creativity at the center of community life.
