Marilyn Joyce Johansen

Marilyn Joyce Johansen, age 80, passed away Saturday March 9th at Lake Chelan Community Hospital. Originally from Reserve, MT, Marilyn lived in Chelan for 25 years. She taught P.E. for over 30 years at Wenatchee High School. Marilyn is preceded in death by her father, Christian Johansen, her mother, Betty Johansen and her soul-mate, Ned Verellen. Marilyn is survived by her sisters Hannah and Sandy, Ned’s sons Max and Clayton and their families, several nieces and nephews, and her dear friends collectively known as The Girly-Whirlies. A private memorial for Marilyn will be held at The Eagles in May.
