Military 'Stand Down': August 26

CHELAN – Chelan VFW Post 6853 will host the 2nd annual 'Stand Down' on Saturday, August 26, starting at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or until items run out. It will be held at the VFW Bunker, at 127 S. Bradley Street, near the ball fields. Throughout the year, the post collects gear and equipment for our region's Veterans. These items are issued to Veterans in conjunction with a wide array of health, benefit and educational programs. Any and all Veterans are encouraged to sign up early, in order to avoid the lines.
