New etched memorial bricks bring success to Hospital Guild Y fundraiser

CHELAN—Hospital Guild Y, a local organization dedicated to supporting Lake Chelan Health, has announced the successful completion of its second sale of etched memorial paving bricks. The fundraiser, which began in 2022, has proven to be the most successful in the guild's 60-year history.

The first sale, held in 2022, sold an impressive 253 memorial bricks, while the recent 2023 sale added another 69 etched bricks to the total. The overwhelming support from Lake Chelan Valley residents, part-time residents, and visitors has been instrumental in the success of this fundraiser.

The first wave of etched memorial bricks has already been placed on the patio adjacent to the cafeteria at the new hospital. However, due to space constraints, the second wave of bricks will require additional planning and construction to ensure pedestrian safety and maintain a visually appealing layout.

The placement of the new bricks will coincide with the construction of the new Emergency Medical Service headquarters. Hospital Guild Y assures all memorial brick buyers that a plan is in motion and thanks them for their patience during this process.
