Posted

MANSON — Service was at the heart of an evening celebration at the Manson Grange on May 28, as members and supporters gathered for a "Seeds of Service" event recognizing the volunteers, legacy members and community partners who have helped shape the organization in recent years.

The event highlighted a period of significant transformation for the Grange, which has undergone a series of improvements over the past two to three years aimed at making the historic hall more accessible, safer and better equipped to serve future generations.

Organizers said the evening's theme reflected the spirit of volunteerism that has sustained the Grange throughout its history and continues to guide its future.

Among those honored were 50-year legacy members Earl Stafford and Rosanna Detering, whose decades of involvement and community service were recognized as part of the celebration. Organizers described the pair as examples of the long-term commitment that has helped the Grange remain an active part of community life.

The event also acknowledged the many volunteers, donors and supporters who have contributed to recent improvements at the hall. Organizers emphasized that preserving the Grange has required cooperation across generations, with community members of all ages playing a role in maintaining the landmark gathering place.

Students from Manson High School were also recognized for assisting with the event, helping with setup, service and other activities throughout the evening.

For Grange members, the gathering served as both a celebration of recent accomplishments and a reminder that the work of maintaining and improving the facility continues.

Organizers said the Grange remains committed to serving as a community gathering place that connects the area's past, present and future, while continuing to evolve to meet local needs.

Founded on a tradition of volunteer service, the Manson Grange continues to host community events and activities while pursuing projects intended to keep the historic hall relevant and accessible for years to come.
