Shooters invited to Black Jack Challenge fundraiser in Chelan

CHELAN — The North Cascade Sportsman's Club will host its Black Jack Challenge fundraiser on Dec. 13 at 401 Washington Creek Road in Chelan.

Registration will run from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., followed by a mandatory safety briefing at 9:15. The first shooter is scheduled to begin at 9:30. The competition will consist of 12 rounds, each with a two-minute time limit and six targets set at 500 yards. Target sizes range from 12 inches to 2 inches, and shooters must make contact with the target to advance to the next round.

Entry fees are cash only. Registration is available online or in person on the day of the event. The entry fee is $15. A second-chance entry may be purchased for $10 at sign-up or $15 after, limited to one per shooter.

“This is a fun event to help raise funds for the club's long distance steel targets,” event organizer Bill Jar said. “We have some prizes donated by local businesses.”
