Sip Into Spring Wine Walk returns to downtown Chelan on May 2

Posted

wineries and downtown merchants team up for the annual “Sip Into Spring” Wine Walk.

The afternoon event invites visitors to move through Historic Downtown Chelan at their own pace, with local wineries pouring tastings inside participating shops along the walkable corridor.

From 2 to 6 p.m., guests can check in to receive a commemorative glass before heading out to explore the route, which will feature more than a dozen stops pairing wine with retail spaces across downtown.

Organizers say the format is designed as much for discovery as it is for tasting — an opportunity to experience both the Lake Chelan wine scene and the small businesses that shape the downtown core.

Events like the Wine Walk also play a role in the valley’s shoulder season, helping bring steady foot traffic into downtown Chelan ahead of the busier summer months and creating opportunities for wineries and retailers to connect with new audiences in a more casual setting.

Tickets are priced at $40 and include eight tastings and a keepsake glass, with discounted early pricing available for the first round of buyers.

Those arriving early can start their day at noon with a check-in gathering at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, where a small maker’s market will offer local goods, including floral arrangements and handmade items, ahead of the main event.

An optional add-on will also allow participants to create their own bouquet through a local floral vendor, adding a seasonal touch that leans into the event’s spring theme.

Whether longtime locals or first-time visitors, the event offers a chance to slow down, explore downtown and welcome the season with a glass in hand.

The Wine Walk is organized through a partnership between the Lake Chelan Wine Alliance, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association and the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce.
