May 18
CHELAN - This week’s competition was Medal Play (low gross and net of field and low net by division).  There were only  eleven ladies in competition this week. The 6 lowest handicap players were competing and hosting the Apple Valley Golf Association  at our course and they won all their matches.
Low Gross of Field: Stacy Bjarnason,  93.
Low Net of Field: Judy Johanson, 73.
Division 1: First Place: Elona Teague, 77.
Division 2: First Place was a tie between Janet Foyle and Nancy Judson, 78.
Division 3: First Place: Tina Nyce, 75. Second Place: Carol Giffin, 77.
Elona Teague had a chip-in birdie on hole 18. Sadly, she was not in the chip-in pot so it will carry over to next week.
Next week will be the final match of the Apple Blossom Tournament where we declare a winner. Linda Hahn and Nancy Parker will be competing for the title.
Our tee time is 9 a.m. Please check in by 8:30 a.m..

Thursday was our club’s second round of the match-play Apple Blossom Tournament. Linda Hahn won her match with April Talley; ending score of 1 up after 19 holes. Nancy Parker won her match with Nancy Judson with a score of 5 and 4. Linda Hahn and Nancy Parker will be moving on to compete for the title. The final match will be played in 2 weeks.
Meanwhile, the club’s weekly competition was Throw out 3 (gross score less your 3 worst holes less your full handicap). Fifteen players were in attendance.
Division 1: First Place, April Talley, 56.
Division 2: First Place, Sherry Fisk, 56. Second Place, Linda Hahn, 57.
Division Three: First Place, Carol Giffin, 50.
Sadly, there were no birdies but one chip-in was made by Linda Hahn on hole 12. April Talley won the KP on hole 7 at  39’1”.
Jason Nickell is a new face in the pro shop checking us in and assigning our starting holes with ease and calm. We think his smiling face is a great addition to the golf course.
