Escorted on the wings of her eternal guardian angels, Virginia peacefully left us to reunite with Chuck, her beloved husband of 60 years, her parents, a brother, and a daughter-in-law, along with many other family members and friends.
Virginia’s three children, Charles Wiest Jr., Nancy (Brian) Thompson, John (Katharina) Wiest, nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, and so many caring family and friends, send her off with much love.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California then retiring to Big Bear Lake, California, Virginia moved to Chelan in 2011.  A 34-year breast cancer survivor, she made many close friends through the Chelan Hospital Wellness Group and the TLC program.  Virginia was involved with the Chelan 7 Firefighters Auxiliary, the Chelan VFW Post 6853 Auxiliary, the Silver Star Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and the Southshore Shady Ladies.  She was a proud 50 plus year member of the California Order of Eastern Star.  Virginia enjoyed sewing, gardening.and many arts and crafts throughout the years.
Internment Services will be June 9 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, California.  A Celebration of Life is planned for the afternoon of July 23 at Heritage Heights Assisted Living, Chelan.  Please contact Nancy Thompson at 206-718-2914 for further information.
