CHELAN - Lake Chelan Valley residents and dogs got their green on for two events on Saturday, March 16, in downtown Chelan. Starting the morning off was the Shamrock Shuffle, a 5k event that supports the Lake Chelan Lions Club program to send kids with Type One Diabetes to Camp Stix and promote local awareness about Diabetes for all ages. They had 144 registered runners/walkers, 50 more than last year, and raised over $3,500 for kids to attend Type1 Diabetes camp in Spokane. The Wayne Kelly Memorial St. Patty’s Top Dog Parade in downtown Chelan followed the Shamrock Shuffle. People of all ages dressed up in green along with their dogs and joined in this fun parade.
