Why Manson’s Apple Blossom art show is more than just a gallery stop

MANSON — A mix of regional artists and student work will take center stage during Manson Apple Blossom weekend as the Hometown Harvest Art Show opens May 8 in downtown Manson.

The three-day exhibit, held at Radiance’s tasting room in the heart of downtown Manson at 71 Wapato Way, brings together painters, watercolor artists and mixed-media creators from across the Lake Chelan Valley, alongside student artwork from Manson and Chelan schools.

Organizers say the show is designed to highlight both established artists and the next generation, offering a multi-generational look at the valley’s creative community.

“The show brings together artists of all ages and celebrates the creativity that defines our community,” said volunteer coordinator René Commons.

Student work plays a central role in the exhibit, with organizers emphasizing the importance of arts education and giving young artists a public platform. Among the featured pieces is Éva Barron’s watercolor “Apple Blossom,” inspired by the valley’s spring bloom and scheduled to be auctioned later this month during the Apple Blossom Dinner Cruise fundraiser.

Visitors will also be invited to vote for their favorite works, with ribbons awarded during the show.

Timed to coincide with Apple Blossom weekend, the exhibit offers a quieter, indoor stop for festivalgoers, particularly following Saturday’s parade through downtown Manson.

The show opens at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 8 and runs through Sunday, May 10. Admission is free.
