Manson Mingle: March 11

MANSON - The March Manson Mingle is set for Wednesday, March 11 at the Lake Chelan Boating Club located next to MillBay Park, SR150 - Mill Road. Arrive at 6 p.m. and pick up a nametag and networkwith folks that love our community. The Manson Chamber of Commerce will provide food and some unique drinks as this will be a non-alcohol event. Guest speaker is Matt Charlton, Superintendent Manson School District. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. he will update everyone on the Leffler Field purchase. At 6:45 p.m. Ray Eickmeyer, who heads the EMS service at Lake Chelan Hospital will bring everyone up to speed regarding preparedness for the Coronavirus and what businesses can do to help to contain the spread of the illness. Next Bill Jarr, Poker Run Sponsorship Chairman will talk about the Boating Club in general and more specifically the 2020 Lake Chelan Boating Club’s Poker Run. Jeff Conwell will bring everyone up to speed with the latest news from the Manson Chamber of Commerce and how you can get involved. April Manson Mingle will be held on April 8 at Alta Cellars.

Multi-genre artist to perform: March 12

CHELAN - Multi-genre artist Lucy P. Dickinson of Chelan will share her uplifting original songs, poems and photography in a March 12 program at the Chelan Public Library. In an artistic style she calls Musepoetography, themes of love, nature, spiritual awakening, healing, recovery and seeing what is commonly unseen are expressed through through lyrics, poetry and visual imagery. The free, all-ages program will be from 6-7:30 p.m. at the library. Dickinson has been active in the field of multi-genre creativity for 30 years and is the founder of Sing From the Heart voice teaching. She is a published poet, photographer and writer, and has been a singer/songwriter since age 16.
Top Dog Parade: March 14

CHELAN - Dress up your dogs and kids in green to try your hand at bringing home the “Top Dog” Award, in the Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade on Saturday, March 14. This is a great chance for your kids to be in a parade. Parade line-up begins at 11:30 a.m. behind Wells Fargo bank in downtown Chelan and the parade begins at 12 p.m.

Shamrock Shuffle 5K Run:  March 14

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Lions Club in partnership with Lake Chelan Health and Wellness Foundation invite you to get your Shamrock and shuffle on down to Riverwalk Park, at the foot of Wapato Avenue, on March 14 for the annual Shamrock Shuffle 5k Fun Run. Register at 8 a.m., run begins at 9:30 a.m. Register online at http://bit.ly/ss5km14. Adults 19 and older, $25, student 10-18 and college $15 and kids 9 and under free. Late registration fee after March 10. A portion of the proceeds will fund scholarship for kids to attend Camp Leo.  A Summer Camp for children with diabetes. Fighting diabetes, one step at a time.

Business After Hours: March 19

CHELAN - Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours (BAH)  will be hosted by Sigillo Cellars, 2037 W Woodin Ave. on Thursday, March 19, 6-7 p.m. Join them for networking and an opportunity to learn about this local business.  This event is now open to the public. BAH is held the third Thursday of every month. RSVP to the Chamber at 682-3503 so they can plan accordingly.
