Over 40 murals and sculptures
CHELAN -  The Lake Chelan Arts Council Outdoor Gallery brochure is available at the Lake Chelan and Manson Chambers of Commerce. Follow the Outdoor Gallery map to discover and enjoy over 40 murals and sculptures located throughout Chelan and Manson. For information about the Arts Council, local art events and artists, with links to  local and international art museums and other resources, their website, artinchelan.com, offers local artists and the community an opportunity to “Celebrate Art!”.

Truth Town Hall: March 23
CHELAN - Truth Town Hall is a night to educate the local church in a Biblical worldview on topics within society. It will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 6:30 p.m. at 204 E. Okanogan Avenue. Truth Town Hall #1 will be exposing Critical Race Theory and its role in exchanging the Gospel of grace for the Social Gospel. Pastor David Belcher will be speaking to these topics for 30-45 minutes. Then there will be an intermission of 5-10 minutes. After the intermission there will be an open mic time where anyone can ask a question or make comments about the talk. Chelan Museum: March  24-26
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Historical Society has reopened the Chelan Museum in Historic Downtown Chelan, at the corner of Woodin Avenue and Emerson Street. Hours will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

 COVID-19 vaccine clinics: March 25
CHELAN - Lake Chelan Health EMS will host a drive-thru Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic on Friday, March 25, 5:30-7 p.m., at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 East Wapato Ave. in Chelan. Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen (J&J) vaccine will be available to anyone age 5 years and older. Visit lakechelanhealth.org to pre-register.

Chelan Senior Menu: March 24-31
CHELAN - The Chelan Senior Center at 534 E. Trow Avenue, hosts Senior Meals Monday-Friday. Suggested donation for seniors over age 60 is $4. Fee for persons under age 60 is $10. Glass recycle: March 26

CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Food Bank food distribution:

Volunteer gleaners needed
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 131 S. Apple Blossom Drive, Ste. 109 (Chelan Business Center.)
The Lake Chelan Food Bank is looking for two teams of two people to help glean Safeway and Walmart once a month starting in April.  They would pickup both Safeway and Walmart on Saturday,  Safeway only on Monday and Walmart only on Tuesday starting at 7:30 am on those days.  Everything is boxed and ready for pickup at the stores. They would ride with one of our current gleaners for training and introductions to the process. We just purchased a covered utility trailer so they would need a vehicle capable of towing. Manson Spring Fling: March 26
MANSON - March is Coming to Manson in a Big Way.  Bring the kids and the family to Manson’s 2nd Annual Spring Fling. Welcome spring with barrel train rides, plant seeds for bees, and discover how honey is made. The fun begins at 11:30 a.m. and the Easter Bunny will be hopping by from 12-2 p.m. Meet everyone at the Manson Grange Hall at 157 East Wapato Way. The fun continues at Singleton Park from 2-4 p.m. where they will fly kites, make rockets, and soar straight into spring at the North Shore Bible Church’s annual Soaring into Spring event. Okanogan Valley Orchestra
and Chorus concert: March 26
OMAK - The Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus will be in concert at the Omak PAC, March 26 at 3 p.m. This concert will feature many family favorites selections. Ticket prices are $12 for Adults, $10 for Seniors and Youth 15 and younger are free.  Go to www.ovocmusic.org for details and updates.

Chelan Thursday Farmers Market
Vendor meeting: April 1
CHELAN - Chelan Thursday Farmers Market will hold a preseason vendor meeting on April 1, at 5 p.m. at 106 W. Highland Avenue at the home of the markets manager April. Opening day of the 2022 market will be Thursday, May 5. New vendors are welcome. For more info www.chelanfarmersmarket.org

Mobile Food Pantry: April 14
MANSON - The Mobile Food Pantry will be at North Shore Bible Church this Thursday, April 14, noon- 2 p.m. All are welcome. It is a walk thru format and guests pick their own food. This will be a regular stop every second Thursday of the month.

Chelan Earth Day Fair: April 16
CHELAN - The in-person Chelan Earth Day Fair is Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m.-4 p.m, in Riverwalk Park. Enjoy entertainment all day, food, book sale, plant sale, electric vehicles, educational booths, arts & crafts.  For more information chelanearthdayfair.org

Alzheimer’s Support Group:
April 21
CHELAN - With the support of Aging and Adults and Tender Loving Care for Seniors, an Alzheimer’s Support Group for Chelan/Manson area has restarted. The next meeting will be Thursday, April 21, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s. Meetings will be the 3rd Thursday of the month at Chelan Valley Hope, 417 S. Bradley Street, Chelan. Aging and Adults is providing the facilitator, Bob Poindexter, who has great experience in leading support groups. Please join them to be encouraged on this journey. Lake Chelan Lions golf tourney:
May 6
CHELAN - Registration is now open for the 16th Annual Lake Chelan Lions Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Friday, May 6,  at Lake Chelan Golf Course. Registration begins at 8 a.m. There are two Hole-in-One prizes, the largest of which is a $25,000 prize, courtesy of Antonio’s Landscaping, and $10,000 prize from Cascade Auto Center. The cost is $125 per golfer and $500 per foursome. Each participant will get 18 holes of golf, golf cart, box lunch and two beverage tickets.
