CHELAN - The City of Chelan is holding a weekly contest to select the most unique face mask. Each week a new theme will be announced. Citizens are encouraged to create a mask following each week’s theme and send a photo wearing their mask to the City (pmichajla@cityofchelan.us) or post on the City’s Facebook page.
Winners for Super Heroes are: First Place: Amy Scovill; and Second Place: Rachel Boggs
The winners will split the prizes listed below.
$25 Chamber Bucks – donated by Mayor Goedde; $25 Chamber Bucks – donated by the Dobbs family; $25 Chamber Bucks – donated by the Chelan Chamber of Commerce; $50 Gift Card – donated by the Apple Cup Café; $25 Manson Chamber Bucks – donated by Debbie Conwell.
The intent of this effort is to help promote the importance of our citizens wearing face masks when out in public – and also to have some fun and win a prize.
They will announce the winner every two weeks on Wednesdays and reveal the upcoming theme. The winners and weekly mask themes will be posted on the City’s Facebook page. Entries are due no later than Noon on Tuesday, July 15. Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Bucks will be awarded to the winners. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
