Navarre Coulee brush fire

Chelan Fire and Rescue responded automatic aid with Chelan County Fire Protection District 8 to a reported brush fire at 4600 Navarre Coulee Road on May 22. The first unit on scene reported a 1/3 acre working brush fire moving up steep terrain in medium fuels. Fire district crews were able to contain the fire to about a 1/2 at 1:06 p.m., 44 minutes from time of 911 call, and were starting to overhaul the fire into the black. DNR and USFS resources are responding to assist in the overhaul.
