TEE TIME

The warm temperatures and a little bit lighter smoke in our valley brought out 18 members of The Lake Chelan Ladies Golf Club for August 10 Even 9 competition and Round 1 of the Club Championship.  Meanwhile, Club President, Kathy Cary was having her hip replaced and is already home and doing fine.
 Competition – The Even 9 game is total gross score of even numbered holes less half handicap.  All our winners this week were also playing in the Club Championship.   
Winners for Division 1 were a 1st place tie between Linda Reister and Carol Ferguson (33).  Division 2 also had a 1st place tie MaryJo DuRuz and Judy Johanson (33.5).  Division 3 1st place was Jane Storms (33).
There were no Birdies this week and only one Chip-ins for Joan Pierce (#16).
Next week’s competition is: Medal Play with winners for low gross and net of field and low net by division.  Also Round 3 of Club Championship with Round 2 being played on Tuesday, August 15.  Please check in by 7:30 a.m. with Tee off time 8 a.m.

All flights will be played without handicaps, and the Club Champion will be the player with the overall lowest gross score regardless of the flight in which she competed. Runner-up will be the player with the 2nd overall lowest gross score. A winner for each flight will then be decided based on lowest gross score of the flight for the three days.  Handicaps will be used to determine and award the player with the lowest overall net score for the 3 days.
 2017 Invitational – “Let’s Par-Tee!” is the theme for this year’s Invitational to be held on Sept. 14, 2017.  All entrants must be 21 years of age, and have an established USGA Handicap Index, maximum 40.3.  The field limit is 108 golfers.
Registration forms were emailed to Lake Chelan Ladies Club members and then to other clubs.  Forms are also available in the locker room.   All entries must be received by Sept. 5.  Contact Invitational Chairperson, Sherry Fisk at (509) 393-9715 or email jsfisk@msn.com.
