Marisol Leyva is a junior at Manson Secondary School. She is 17-years-old and was born in Guerrero, Mexico. Marisol’s family came to Manson in 2014. She lives with her mom, Carolina Saucedo, her dad, Francisco Leyva and her four incredible bothers and three beautiful sisters. Marisol was the fourth born, and she helps takes care of her four younger siblings. “I love to take care of them because family is my first love and priority” says Marisol. One of Marisol’s favorite things to do is play soccer with her brothers. Life is all about making memories and she likes making memories with my brothers. Marisol says, “I’m participating in the Cinco de Mayo celebration because it seems like a good opportunity to help me grow and experience being in a parade.”
Selection of Cinco de Mayo royal court will be held on Sunday, May 5, at Chelan Riverwalk Park. The four candidates in search of the crown are: Litzy Valdovinos-Sanchez, Marisol Leyva, Araceli Mejia and Adilene Mendez.
