Noxious weed survey begins April 1

Posted
WENATCHEE - The Chelan County Noxious Weed Control Board, in accordance with RCW 17.10.190 reminds land owners that the noxious weed survey season will begin again April 1.
It is the obligation of all land owners under RCW 17.10.140 to eradicate all Class A noxious weeds and control and prevent the spread of all Class B and Class C noxious weeds listed on the Chelan County Noxious Weed List.  Noxious Weeds can be highly destructive, competitive and difficult to control. These plants invade our croplands, rangeland, forests, parks, rivers and lakes, causing both ecological and economic damage that affects us all.
To help protect Chelan County’s resources and economy, the Chelan County Noxious Weed list has been adopted for 2021 and includes all Class A and Class B Designate species from the Washington State Noxious Weed List, and selected Class B Non-Designate and Class C species. The list is posted on the Chelan County Noxious Weed Control Board website and is also available by request from the office.
