Evan Reister selected to lead Lake Chelan School District Athletics

CHELAN – The Lake Chelan School District is excited to announce that Interim Athletic Director Evan Reister has been selected to continue as our permanent Lake Chelan School District Athletic Director. Reister took over as Interim Athletic Director on November 1 and has previously served as our CMS Athletic Director from 2018 to 2020, as an assistant varsity baseball coach, and as a middle school basketball coach. Evan, a 2011 Chelan High School graduate, participated in multiple state tournaments as a Mountain Goat and has a demonstrated passion for our Chelan community and for helping our programs and student-athletes grow to be amongst the best in the state. He began his teaching career in Waterville before coming to Chelan Middle School as a math teacher in 2017.
Evan has earned post-secondary degrees from Wenatchee Valley College (Associate of Arts), Maryville University of St. Louis (Middle Level Education Math and Social Studies), and Central Washington University (Master of Science in Athletic Administration). He is also a National Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association (NIAAA) Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA). Evan’s passion for our students is demonstrated daily as he interacts with them in the hallways and at their contests.
“Evan has added immediate value to Chelan High and Middle School athletics during his time as Interim Athletic Director,” shared Chelan High School Principal Jamie Pancho. “His vision for Chelan’s athletic programs and growth in our student-athletes promises to instill a tradition of pride that will be contagious in our community.”
Evan and his wife Sarah, along with their two young children, reside in Chelan.
