Lake Chelan Boating Club honors local students with scholarships

MANSON - The Lake Chelan Boating Club (LCBC) is proud to announce the winners of the LCBC 2020 Scholarships, awarded to outstanding local high school graduating seniors to be used at an accredited college or trade school.
Congratulations to our local students Bryce La Mar, Tobin Wier and Amelia Bordner.
The LCBC Scholarship Committee had many excellent applications to choose from and a six-person committee reviewed and scored the applications.
Bryce and Tobin will each receive a $500 scholarship from the LCBC and Amelia will receive a $250 scholarship.
Tobin is the son of Pete and Kari Wier, a recent graduate from Chelan High School.  He was selected for his excellent essays, outstanding academic achievements, school involvement and dedication and service to his community.  Tobin will attend Montana State University this Fall to pursue a degree in Aviation and Business Marketing.
Amelia is the daughter of Burke and Jennifer Bordner, and a recent graduate from Chelan High School. Amelia was chosen for her excellent essays, outstanding academic performance, and community service. Amelia will attend Biola University.
Bryce is the son of Brett La Mar, and a recent graduate of Manson High School.  Bryce was chosen for his outstanding academic achievements, excellent essays and proven service and dedication to his community.  Bryce will attend Moody Bible Aviation to pursue a degree in Missionary Aviation Technology.
The LCBC wishes all scholarship winners a bright and promising future.
