Billie Lu (James) Barton passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She was 93 years old.  Billie's residence was in East Wenatchee, Washington for the past 20 plus years. Prior to that she lived in Dryden and Chelan.  
Billie was born to John E. and Beatrice (LeFan) James on Feb. 6. 1928 in Temple, Texas, she was the youngest off three girls.  She was raised in Texas where she met and married her husband Robert Roy Barton of Lakeside, Washington.  They were married June 14, 1946 in Houston, Texas.  Robert Roy Barton preceded her in death on June 17, 1980.  
After his passing she met and married John Schober Dec. 12, 1981 in East Wenatchee. They resided in Dryden until his time of death Jan. 21, 1997.  Billie then moved to East Wenatchee where she resided until her passing.  Billie attended schools in Texas where she completed her high school education.  
Her employment included doing books here in Chelan for Leonard Little. She also worked for Enterprise Mart and over 20 years for Mac's Tire Service as a bookkeeper.  When living in Dryden she was employed for Aplets and Cotlets.  Billie also took pride in being a volunteer at Central Washington Hospital, which she thoroughly enjoyed.   She loved visiting with the patients and other volunteers.  
She attended the Episcopal churches in Chelan, Cashmere and most recently in Wenatchee.  She enjoyed helping at the church and was also part of the Alter Guild.  
Billie loved spending time with her family and you could always see the excitement and joy in her eyes and beautiful smile when kids, grandkids, great-grandkids came to visit.  When married to Roy Barton in Chelan they belonged to bridge club, dance club, and several family oriented events.  They also enjoyed bowling and golfing.  
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, her two sisters, two husbands, granddaughter and great-grandson.  
Survivors include daughter, Cheryl (Barton) Anderson and husband Jerry of Wenatchee, Washington, Russell Barton and wife Lana (Lamkin) Barton of Homosassa, Florida,  and Lisa (Barton) Anderson and husband Frank Anderson of Chelan, Washington.  She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.  
 Funeral service is Graveside at Riverview Cemetery in Chelan for family only at this time.  There will be a Celebration of Life in Spring 2022

Billie was truly a very special lady, loved by all that met her, she will be missed but remembered always as a shining light in our hearts.
