CHELAN COUNTY— Incumbent Chelan County District Court Judge Allen F. Blackmon holds a decisive lead over challenger Jay Eyestone in Tuesday's general election, according to the latest ballot count.
The updated results show Blackmon with 17,528 votes (60.75%) compared to Eyestone's 11,223 votes (38.90%), with write-in candidates receiving 103 votes (0.36%).
The race for District Court Judge Position 2 pits Blackmon, the presiding judge for Chelan County District Court and former county deputy prosecutor with 28 years of combined service, against Eyestone, who currently serves as a public defender for the City of Wenatchee and Douglas County while maintaining a private practice focusing on civil litigation and estate planning.
The contest is part of a broader election that has seen strong voter participation across Chelan County, with results showing significant engagement in local races ranging from county commissioner to public utility district positions.
Wednesday's results represent the most current count available, with election officials scheduled to release the next update on Thursday, November 7, at 5 p.m. The results will remain unofficial until certified by county election officials.
