CASHMERE - We did not play our best tennis tonight.  In some cases, it was our worst.  In contrast, credit to Cashmere for their massive improvements since we faced them before spring break.  Chelan was very fortunate to escape with victories tonight.
Girls:  Chelan 3, Cashmere 2
#1 Singles: Faith Kert (Cash) def Arden Paglia 6-0, 6-1
#2 Singles: Piper Grossberg (Che) def Ashlyn Reichert 6-2, 6-2
#3 Singles:  Maya Cowan (Che) def Lucy Ray 7-6 (7-5), 6-0
#1 Doubles:  Reese Westlund/Sydney Young (Cash) def Liv Strandberg/Caelan Rothlisberger 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (7-2)
#2 Doubles:  Josie Garfoot/Ellie McLemore (Che) def Elle Seidensticker/Izzy Hansch 3-6, 6-1, 6-4
This girls matchup could not have been more even.  With the overall team score tied 2-2, and the decisive second doubles match going to a third set at dusk, Josie and Ellie won two games at 4-4 to finally take the third set 6-4.
The Chelan girls finish the league schedule at 8-0, and are 11-1 overall.
Boys:  Chelan 4, Cashmere 1
#1 Singles:  JJ Groner (Cash) def Rylen Moody 6-1, 7-6 (7-4)
#2 Singles:  Sam Bordner (Che) def Zeke Lewis 7-5, 6-2
#3 Singles:  Cray Silva (Che) def Spencer Boyd 7-5, 1-6, (10-4)  <3rd set was shortened to a tiebreaker due to waning daylight>
#1 Doubles:  Luke Christopherson/Wade Sanderson (Che) def Reed Lewis/Micah Guerin 6-1, 6-3
#2 Doubles:  Caleb Sanderson/Ian Garfoot (Che) def Josh Dotson/Seth Martin 3-6, 6-3, 6-2
The Chelan boys also finished the league schedule 8-0, and are currently 9-3 overall

Chelan traveled to Spokane for the 76th Annual Inland Empire tournament on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29.
