Janet Bolinger celebrates 90th birthday with family and friends

CHELAN — Longtime Washington resident Janet Bolinger of Chelan celebrated her 90th birthday with a surprise party Oct. 10 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Phil Hanford.

Family members attending included her son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Melissa Bolinger of Burien; her niece, Donella Vogel, and Vogel's two sons from Tampa, Florida; and her grandson, Phillip Hanford, and his family. Numerous longtime friends and other family members also attended.

Bolinger and her late husband, Duane Bolinger, were married in 1965 in the first wedding ceremony held at the then-newly constructed First United Methodist Church at Washington and Miller streets in Wenatchee.
