Lake Chelan Winterfest set for Jan. 15-24

CHELAN — Lake Chelan Winterfest will return Jan. 15-24, 2027, with two weekends of ice sculptures, fireworks, live music and other activities in Chelan and Manson.

The annual winter festival, presented by the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, will feature beach bonfires, local wine and family-friendly activities throughout the Lake Chelan Valley.

Festival attractions will include the Winterfest Wine Walk, Bubble Brunch, Ice Bar and Fire Bar, along with activities for visitors of all ages.

"Winterfest is one of those events that reminds people Lake Chelan isn't just a summer destination," said Mike Steele, Executive Director of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. "There's something pretty special about watching fireworks over the lake in January and gathering around a massive bonfire with hundreds of other people. It's a completely different side of Lake Chelan, and we love sharing it with visitors."

The festival also serves as a winter tourism event for the Lake Chelan Valley, bringing visitors to area hotels, restaurants and shops during a typically slower time of year.

"January is typically a slower time for many of our local businesses, and Winterfest helps change that," said Steele. "When visitors come for the festival, they're also booking rooms, dining at our restaurants, shopping downtown, and discovering everything our valley has to offer beyond the summer months. That impact is something we're incredibly proud of."

The 2027 festival will span 10 days across the two communities, with events and activities scheduled over two weekends.
