Senior Healthy Living Fair

CHELAN - September is Fall Prevention Month and a Senior Healthy Living and Fall Prevention fair was held September 20, at the Chelan Senior Center. Those attending could consult local experts on how health care, medications, nutrition and diet, home environment safety and exercise/ balance workouts can enhance fall prevention.
Community organizations were: Heritage Heights, Chelan Valley Hope, Aging and Adults East Wenatchee, Tender Loving Care for Seniors, a Chelan Valley Community Nurse, Abby Pattison, Lake Chelan Health dietitian, Lake Chelan Health Occupational Therapists, Lake Chelan Health EMS, Occupational Therapist Susie Hepner, Walmart Vision Dept., Hometown Hearing, Lions Club Vision and Hearing Programs, Maggie Kaminoff (Matter of Balance Program and SAIL exercise program) and Pete, Link Transit, and Lake Chelan Food Bank. The plan is to have this an annual event.
