Spooky activities planned for downtown

HDCA hosts a drive-thru Trick or Treat and “Car-stume” contest

Posted

LAKE CHELAN – While Halloween may look a little different this year, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) invites you to drive on downtown for safe and spooky drive-thru trick or treating this Halloween. On Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5–7 p.m., drive through a ghostly downtown Chelan to receive Halloween goody bags. You may encounter some witches and zombies along the way.

The HDCA will host a “Car-stume” contest this year with spectacular prizes for the family with the most creative costume for their car and passengers. The community will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite Car-stumes online. The streets will be filled with eerie tunes, and the processional will be streamed on Facebook live. Vehicles wishing to drive through the haunted downtown should stage in the Chelan High School parking lot and proceed to Woodin Avenue to cross the Old Bridge and drive through downtown. They look forward to seeing you all for this SPOOKTACULAR event!
