Barry Irving Ferrell (Bif)

Posted
Bif went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2020. He was 85. Born August 22, 1935 in Everett, Washington to Dr. Lewis Joseph Ferrell and Mrs. Myrtle Jane Brannon Ferrell, Barry was known to his friends as “Bif.” He graduated from Everett High School in 1952 before attending Montana State University where he obtained his master’s in Chemical Engineering. He joined the Weyerhaeuser Company in 1958 and remained there until he retired in the early 1990’s. Following retirement, he divided time between Yuma, AZrizona and Chelan, Washington.
Bif loved Jesus and baking pies. He enjoyed regaling others with stories, attending weekly prayer breakfasts, and cooking for a crowd. Able to strike up a conversation with just about anyone, he had a huge heart, opening his home to dignitaries, missionaries, and foster children with equal enthusiasm. He loved his family and generously supported several ministries. He attended Entiat Warehouse Community Church.
Preceded in death by his wife Jerrie and son Raymond, he is survived by his children Doug (Janet), Brian (Patty), Rob (Faye), Ron (Janet), Teresa, and Tamara (Mark), 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 28 at Entiat Warehouse Community Church, 14816 Hwy 97A.
