Judith “Judi” Elaine Rongey was born in Seattle, WA on March 27th, 1937. She peacefully passed in her sleep in the early morning of August 26th, 2022 at home in Chelan, WA. She was 85 years young. She is preceded in death by her brother Donald and parents Donald and DeLee Davidson.

Judi grew up on Virginia Point, by Keyport and Indian Island, just off Port Townsend, WA. She graduated from Chimacum High School in 1955 and was crowned Port Townsend Rhododendron Festival Queen in 1955. She spoke fondly of her memories of traveling around the state of Washington with the other Seafair Flower Queens.

After Olympic College in Bremerton, Judi moved to Seattle and went to work for the Bank Of California. It was there where she met her first husband Gerald “Jerry” Park (d. 2019) and soon married in October 1957. They had two children together, daughter Jennifer Fischer and son Jeffrey Park. They remained in touch with each other until he passed away in 2019.

Judi leaves behind a wonderful legacy of sweet memories for the family and the undying unconditional love of a kind and loving soul.

Judi is survived by their children, Jennifer Fischer (Brad) of Chelan, WA and Jeffrey A. Park of Phoenix, AZ. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and the light of her life. Grandchildren - Jonathan Fischer (Cindy) of Issaquah, WA, Joshua Flaten (Allison) of Chelan, WA, Adrienne Rowe (Jesse) of Issaquah, WA, Alexander French (Christine) of Mercer Island, WA, Zachary Febus of Renton, WA, and Mikhaila Park of Anchorage, AK. Great grandchildren, Jayden (17), Cora (2), and Grayson (1).

Judi is also preceded in death by her second husband, Richard “Dick” J. Rongey (d. 2019) who was introduced on a blind date by each of their children. Dick was the love of her life. They were married 32+ years and she’s survived by daughters Gail Dickson (Jeff) of La Quinta, CA, Lynne Rongey of Indio, CA and son, Scott Rongey (Katie) of Lynnwood, WA. Grandsons Patrick McDonald (Amy) of Normandy, Park and Ilan Ota of CA. Great Grandsons Carter (5) and Jaxon (3).

Judi’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00pm in Chelan at the home she shared with her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Brad Fischer and their much loved dog, Carli.
