Manson Chamber of Commerce to host Trout Fishing Derby

MANSON - The Manson Chamber of Commerce will host the Hooked on Manson Trout Fishing Derby, set to take place on April 27 at Wapato Lake. The event is open to anglers of all ages, with three age categories: up to 8 years old, 9-16, and 17+. Participants will compete to catch the three largest fish by weight in their respective categories.

Registration for the derby will open at 5 a.m. at the Wapato Lake Boat Launch, located at 153 E Wapato Lake Rd. in Manson, WA. Fishing will commence at 6 a.m., and anglers will have until 12 p.m. to bring in up to three fish for a cumulative weigh-in. The award presentations will take place at 1 p.m., and winners must be present to claim their prizes.
